SOHO Labels Tour: Printing

Label and envelope printing has traditionally been a frustrating experience for most users. SOHO Labels makes it easy!

Your labels, envelopes, and letterhead say something about you and your company. They help you establish your "corporate identity". Now you can quickly and easily communicate your message with your ink jet, laser printer, or commercial printer.

Tools That Eliminate Guesswork
Fluid Preview
Fluid Preview creates a natural working environment so you can make changes to individual labels and envelopes on-the-fly and see the outcome in real-time. There are four dynamic aspects to Fluid Preview:
  1. Live Editing. Edit any text on a label or envelope including data that came from the Address Book. For example, you can create a series of video cassette labels using a single design and then change the video title for each label right from within the print preview.
  2. Dynamic POSTNET Barcodes. Dynamically add a POSTNET barcode to your labels and envelopes without altering your design.
  3. On-The-Fly Address Book Integration. Simply click the contacts you want to produce a label or envelope for—the preview instantly updates.
  4. Active Positioning & Quantities. As you specify the starting label position on a sheet of labels and your desired quantity, the preview instantly reflects your input to eliminate any guesswork.
Easy Envelope Printing
Envelope printing has traditionally been a tricky endeavor until now. SOHO Labels will automatically coordinate envelope printing with your printer. In the event, there is an envelope feeding problem, an intuitive wizard will help you remedy the situation with a few clicks.

Tools for perfect results.
Printer Calibration
Printers don't always feed stock as precisely as we would like. This sometimes results in artwork that doesn't print on labels in the correct position.

SOHO Labels has a simple and unique printer calibration feature that ensures perfect stock alignment to eliminate waste.
Print-To-The-Edge (Full Bleed) Layouts
There are two different layouts for label stock: full bleed and regular. "Full bleed" stock means that there is a gap between each label on the sheet so you can "print-to-the-edge" of the label without accidentally printing on an adjacent label. "Regular" stock means that all of the labels on the sheet share an edge with adjacent labels (no gap between labels).

Choose a full bleed label stock if you have artwork that reaches any edge of the label.
Full Bleed Support
Full bleed designs are designs in which a background color, logo, or other artwork goes all the way to the edge of the stock. When printing full bleed designs, you want the artwork that goes to the edge of the stock to actually "bleed" or extend past the edge a little bit. The "bleed" gives your printer a margin of error in case the stock does not feed precisely in. This margin of error is also important for commercial print jobs since all cuts have a certain margin of error.

SOHO Labels lets you extend your artwork past the boundary of the design canvas and also lets you specify a bleed size when printing so you always get perfect results.
Crop Marks
Optional crop marks can be added to assist commercial printers in making exact cuts for regular and full bleed designs.
